This collage focuses on the wastage o water and pollution in society. I chose a basic background (a leaf and a few drops of water on it) with a big meaning behind it. The background itself is saying that to grow and make fresh air, you need trees. And to make trees you need to have water. There is only so much water left and that is shown by only having two drops of water on the leaf, it is saying that we are in a shortage. This collage says that because of us, there is a shortage of water and that we are making the pollution. The pollution coming out of the tap represents how when we turn the taps on, we are wasting precious water that is also causing all this pollution. In the cloud of pollution, the little boy seems happy. This is because he is too young to realize what is happening, even though he is the one that is going to be affected the most. The green colour and the leaf background represent the forests and how if there are no forests, we are slowly going to kill our planet through the pollution in the air. We should be saving every drop of water that we can. By saving water we could be making less pollution and saving the forests. The focal point of this collage is the tap with the cloud of pollution shooting out from the tap. The pollution is closing in on the water, which would then be polluted. The main colour in here is obviously green. The green colour of the background contrasts with the clouds of black and white. The black tap also stands out because that it’s the only black item on the page. The dark side is the right side with the black pollution cloud. The top left hand corner cloud looks inviting and fluffy, but in time it will turn into the bottom right hand cornered cloud, which looks uninviting, dark and scary.

In this collage, I have used a background with a little white girl who is interested in the dinosaur. She is looking wide-eyed with amazement written all over her face as she looks and touches the dinosaur’s big sharp teeth. The sharp teeth represent the danger in this picture. You can see kids from different cultural backgrounds playing and exploring the dinosaur with the girl. This has the meaning of all different cultures playing together, but the tiger and teeth are saying that there is still a little bit of worry and fear as they play innocently. It is saying that we are able to survive and cooperate in one big community. The thumb suggests that sometimes when times are rough, only a little thumb is holding the community together. Some of the kids have looks of worry on their face, they have a touch of sadness and that all links to the danger of the unknown. The focus point of the collage is the tiger lurking in the mouth of the dinosaur. The focal point is the danger in the picture. The colours that are in this picture are warm colours, yellows, red and oranges (the colour of fire). The fire also represents danger, and the dominate colour is not yet red but orange so the danger is only mild. It could mean that the danger (fire) is dying down to a yellow or getting warmer and hotter and fiercer to a red. It is trying to say the scene is happy but with a touch of fear. The shadows and lines of the dinosaur help to give the meaning that the whites and blacks working together have been around for ages and they are still searching for the right answer to make everyone happy. Also in this picture, you can see that all the objects and items that I used were natural (humans, dinosaur body, thumb, tiger etc.)

This is an istop-motion collage animation of exquisite corpses by Steph, Taylor and I. To create our characters, we looked through old magazines and cut out any objects we thought we could possibly use. After we had all our items, we sat together as a group and made our characters. We used other objects such as the weapons (knife, fan etc) and the travelling egg for the briefcase which the weapons came out of. When we had all our characters and objects we wanted to use, we had a look at all characters and brainstormed some of the ideas which could involve our characters. We didn't have the whole idea at the start, so during the filming of our animation, if anyone thought of something new, we would run it past each other and then place it in the correct place in the movie. In the end we ended up coming up with something like this:

Stop-Motion, or also known as stop-action or frame-by-frame is an animation technique used to make a physically manipulated object to appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. An example of a Stop-Motion video can be seen bellow.

An exquisite corpse or also known as an 'exquisite cadaver' or ' rotating corpse' is a method of which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled; the result being known as the exquisite corpse. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence, either by following a rule or by being allowed to see the end of what the previous person contributed. An example of an exquisite corpse is shown bellow, which was created by Diarmuid, Alan and Molly.
